You really need to bring some sort of shade There are 4 wheel drives and dogs on the beach but that didn't bother us. A magic spot.

Too dangerous - especially when lake is opened and all the small fish pour out into the shark's mouths. Doesn't happen often but when it does , take the warning. It's an easy walk from the track out of Sandbar Caravan Park because it's a 4wd section only from the sign posted beach.

There is very limited parking 4 or 5 cars max for 2wd. But a short 15 minute stroll to your own stretch of beach. Steph Sydney, Australia 41 contributions.

Have to drive through a dirt track without reception first. Slow and bumpy. Risk of puncturing tires. Pass a couple caravan parks on the way. Finally park and walk on the sand, through grass and through vast sand area where there would be water otherwise. MetteAnker Copeland, Australia 28 contributions. We have camped in the Bushland camping many times over the years and nothing has changed,,, Yes it looks tired and yes it is outdated but it is Bushland camping with hot showers and toilet facilities on the beach and by the lake.

It is a brilliant location and it is great nothing has changed, Jumping pillows and swimming pools with slippery slides would not be right in a park that is named Bushland Camping. Joel J North Rocks, Australia contributions.

Still a very native and untouched beach, we usually stay for a week or so at the sandbar tourist park which is so relaxing and uncrowded and take beautiful walks onto the serene beach. The northern Bald Head and the southern head provide some protection from waves and wave height does decrease slightly to the south, however the rips still prevail.

An exposed rip-dominated beach. Be very careful, stay close to shore and away from the rips and feeder currents.
